Why should I join Arc?

By joining Arc your will make your time at UNSW more than just classes, assignment and exams.

Arc members receive huge discounts on and off campus, free or reduced entry to parties and events plus a welcome Pack worth over $1000.

As an Arc member you can make new friends by joining over 100 clubs and societies and get ahead by lending a hand in one of Arc’s popular volunteering programs. Not only is volunteering rewarding it will make you more employable when you graduate.

Don’t forget about member’s free access to student advocacy and legal support. If you need to talk about a legal or university issue come in and talk to Arc’s student support team.


What are the different categories of Arc Membership?

Undergraduate, Postgraduate, Study Abroad & Exchange and Club.


How much does Membership cost?
Semester 2 Membership (Undergrad, Postgrad) $69
Semester 2 (Direct Debit)
  - Monthly $18 x 4 instalments will be debited on the first day of each month
Study Abroad & Exchange (only one semester) $69*
Club $40
Semester 2 Staff/Associate Membership $69#

How do I join Arc?

You can join Arc at the Arc offices (Blockhouse and COFA) or online at www.arc.unsw.edu.au.


How do I join Arc during O Week?

You can join Arc at FM Assist when you pick up your student card. Once you pay the Arc Membership fee you will be issued with a receipt. Present your receipt at the Arc Membership points and you will receive your Arc membership sticker and Welcome Pack.

If you already have your student card go straight to the Arc Membership point outside FM to join. You can also join online at www.arc.unsw.edu.au.


How long does Arc Membership last?

2009 Memberships are valid until February 2010. Study Abroad & Exchange Membership is valid for one semester only.

What is in the Arc Welcome Pack?

New Members: Arc Backpack, diary with discount vouchers, USB, stationary & drink bottle.

Rejoining Members: Arc shoulder bag, diary with discount vouchers, beach towel, playing cards & stationary.


Will there be an Arc Membership card in 2009?

No. Arc Members will be issued with an Arc sticker to attach to your UNSW student card similar to the state transit sticker system.


Where can I pick up my Arc Welcome Pack?

After O Week come down to the Arc Offices at the Blockhouse and COFA.


What if I defer from uni, go on exchange, drop out of uni, or graduate?


How do I cancel my membership?

You are unable to cancel your membership except for in circumstances such as withdrawal or graduating from the University. Please see terms and conditions for full details.
