Students with Disabilities Collective

SRC 2009: Students with DisabilitiesWe exist to represent all students on campus who have a disability. We recognise that university can be a challenge for students but even more so for students with disabilities. Our aim is to make university a more positive experience for you, without disadvantage or discrimination and to maximise the support available to you.

We can support you by:

  • Taking an active role to listen to any issues, concerns, or complaints that you may have;
  • Liaising, implementing and making sure university policies meet requirements;
  • Advocacy and discrimination support;
  • Promoting disability friendly events such as BBQs, film nights, awareness days, campaigns and more;
  • Support to succeed at university.

The collective meets every 3rd Monday from 3-4pm.

Join our google group and e-list: http://groups.google.com.au/group/unsw-swd-collective.

If you have not already done so, register with a UNSW Disability Officer for services such as note taking, exam provisions, assistive technology and library assistance. Visit www.studentequity.unsw.edu.au or call 9385 6262.
