Education
The Education Collective is a bunch of students who campaign for fair and accessible education. It’s entirely a product of what you want to do.
Meeting Times
The Education Collective meets:
every odd week (1, 3, etc.) on Tuesdays from 1-2pm in Training Room 2, Blockhouse.
The Welfare Collective meets:
every week (2, 4, etc.) on Tuesdays from 1-2pm in Training Room 2, Blockhouse.
In 2008 we’ll fight to:
Scrap VSU
Independent student voices have been silenced as a result of VSU
Stop Course Cuts
The Arts Faculty in particular has been the victim of the university’s rationalization razor-gang
Get rid of Saturday Exams
Students have family, sporting, work and religious commitments on Saturdays!
Abolish Full Fees
We feel that all university places should be Commonwealth supported HECS places
Welfare
We care about ending student poverty, support for all students during exam time, and the general well-being of those studying at UNSW.
The Welfare Collective also runs a Free Breakfast every Wednesday morning from 9-11am out side the Library.
