Postgrad Email List

About the Email List
Arc-postgrad is an email list for postgraduate students at UNSW. It is a fairly casual mailing list that enjoys a moderate amount of traffic.
Types of e-mail sent to the list:
  • queries from other postgrads
  • scholarship notices
  • accommodation notices
  • job opportunities
  • notices of social events
  • humour

Subscribing
To subscribe to this list, send an e-mail to majordomo@explode.unsw.edu.au with the words:

     subscribe arc-postgrad

as the content of the message. You will then receive an e-mail from the list./p>

NB: Make sure that there is no signature or other characters in the body of the email, and please ensure the message is in plain text format, otherwise it will not work!

Sending Email
To e-mail to the list, just send your message to:
arc-postgrad@explode.unsw.edu.au

If you want to share an idea with the group, go right ahead. If you see an interesting mail item from the group, you can reply to the group or, you can reply directly to the sender. Before sending too much e-mail to the list, it would be worth while getting a feel for how the list operates.

Unsubscribing
If you know you will not be checking your e-mail for a while, and you don't want to come back to a mailbox full of posting a few weeks later, you may wish to unsubscribe from the post-grad list for a while.
This is done in a similar way to subscribing. Simply send an e-mail to majordomo@explode.unsw.edu.au with the following as the content of the message:

     unsubscribe arc-postgrad

After doing this you should receive no further postings from the list. Feel free to resubscribe at any time.

Problems?
