Here at Arc, we know that you can learn a whole lot more at uni than just what gets taught at your tutorials and lectures.

That’s why we offer our members the opportunity to get involved in volunteer programs that will give them a chance to have fun, learn great skills and meet new people.

Training and Certificates of Participation are provided to recognise the personal effort that each individual puts into the programs. These programs complement the academic experience and help students become well rounded graduates.

Employability and Life Skills Courses

The Arc provides a selection of affordable, vocationally-oriented programs that enable students to enhance their employability during their time at uni.

  • RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol)
    $65 Arc Members/ $85 Non Arc Members
        - Friday 15 August, 9-5pm
        - Friday 5 September, 9-5pm
        - Friday 26 September, 9-5pm
        - Friday 17 October, 9-5pm

  • RCG (Responsible Conduct of Gambling)
    $65 Arc Members/ $85 Non Arc Members
        - Friday 22 August, 9-5pm

  • St Johns Ambulance Senior First Aid Course
        - $95 Arc Members/$115 Non Arc Members
        - Saturday & Sunday 16-17 August, 8-4pm
        - Saturday & Sunday 20-21 September, 8-4pm

  • Barista Skills
  • Barista & Coffee Art

Eastern Suburbs Community College
Conducted on campus for nearly 30 years, these courses offer students quality creative programs. They include massage, singing, song writing, guitar, photography, life drawing, pottery, dance, yoga and lots more. There are four terms per year and each term runs for eight weeks.

Did you know that as an Arc Member you get a $20 discount on all courses run by the Eastern Suburbs Community College? The next term starts in Week 1 next semester, so if you’re interested in learning something new outside the classroom, check out www.escc.nsw.edu.au for a full listing of courses. (Make sure you let the college know you are an Arc member when you enrol to get the discount!)
