Arc Governance

Arc is a democratic organisation, run by a Board of Directors who are elected by their peers each year.

The Board of Arc work in conjunction with the Student Development Committee, Postgraduate Council and the Student Representative Council to make all the major decisions about the running of Arc. The Board's role is to ensure the organisation as a whole meets its goals and objects.

The composition of the Board reflects the various stakeholders in Arc:
  1. Six of the Directors are elected from the Ordinary Membership of Arc, and represent the general student body.
  2. Three further students who sit on the Board are the Student Development Convenor, Postgraduate Council President and the Student Representative Council President in their capacity as heads of their areas.
  3. Two Directors are appointed from the University's Alumni Association.
  4. Two Directors are appointed by the governing Council of UNSW and represent the interests of the University and its staff.
  5. The final member of the Board is the Chief Executive Officer of Arc.

The Board is keen to hear your feedback on any issue relating to Arc, and how it serves your needs as a member.

* If you would like to contact Directors on the Arc Board, please contact the Executive Officer on 9385 7711 or email n.prasad@arc.unsw.edu.au or the Chair of the Board chair@arc.unsw.edu.au.
