MILO + MILK/ WATER

BY Vivienne Salcedo

A short and simple write-up about the subtle differences between home and here; particularly, between how we make Milo

Things here are different, new

I can’t say they’re bad, that wouldn’t be true.

Even something as simple as Milo,

a drink I’ve known sang bata palang ko.

Here, it’s mixed with milk instead of water,

and even with sugar,

the one from home tastes sweeter.

Even so, I’m not sure which one is better.

BY Vasavi Garg
