Past Events :: 2017

Information Session: Meet and Greet!

Thank you to everyone who came! This Meet and Greet was the biggest one so far and it was all thanks to both the Captains and Representatives who were able to come together for this event on such short notice.

We would love to thank the charity organisations that volunteering their time to come and meet passionate UNSW Students:

- Redkite

- Conservation Volunteers

- Sydney Children's Hospital Foundation

- Black Dog Institute

- Thread Together

- Australian Cancer Research Foundation

Red Cross Calling!

Thank you everyone who volunteered at this event! Without your help, we wouldn't have been able to raise over $350 and to make a difference in the lives of those who are more disadvantaged than us. This event was a great success and we were able to have volunteers drop in and out at convenient times, helping to cater to the availabilities of all participants.

For those who are interested in helping out more with Red Cross, Volunteer Army will be doing a Blood Drive in Semester 2 so please tune in for that and volunteer your time!

Bandaged Bear Day!

Learn - Volunteer - Live

Hey Guys! My name is Michael and I am currently studying a Bachelor of Commerce and Economics. I love to travel and I always want to try new experiences and delicious food in order to make sure I’m not missing out. Volunteer Army has allowed me to continue my passion of giving back to the community around me and is a great place to meet enthusiastic people, develop life skills and to help the disadvantaged community around you.

One of my goals for this year is to improve the volunteering experience of UNSW students through new and innovative events in order to give them the best university experience.
