Location: The position works at the UNSW Kensington Campus at the Blockhouse

Salary: $20.31 per hour

The Blitz Editor is responsible for the weekly creation and production of Blitz magazine. They must encourage interaction with the readership and actively pursue Arc @ UNSW member contributions. The Editor must endeavour to make Blitz interesting, informative and relevant to the diversity of tertiary students at UNSW, while adhering to the Blitz Charter. The Blitz Editor should enforce the Arc’s mission to serve its Members by providing them with a valued service and representing Members’ interests.

Selection Criteria - Essential

  • Proven leadership ability
  • Proven ability to meet strict deadlines
  • An understanding of the magazine production process
  • Strong ability to generate ideas and be creative
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Good attention to detail and proofreading skills
  • High degree of computer literacy, particularly Microsoft Word
  • Knowledge of and involvement in UNSW’s student environment such as clubs and societies and sports associations
  • Proven research and networking skills
  • A love of communication and social interaction
  • Strong work ethic
  • Must be currently studying at UNSW.
