This is why getting to the Roundhouse will be a breeze in 2020

4 SEP 2019

The light rail stop on Anzac Parade is on our doorstep and will see services to and from the CBD every 8 minutes in 2020.

Sydney Light Rail has begun tram testing and is forecast to reach completion targets. Passenger services will begin operating from Kingsford to the CBD in March next year, connecting the Roundhouse directly to the city.

News of the impending completion has come as exciting news to the events community.

Tom Johannesen, Senior Booking Agent at New World Artists commented β€œThe Roundhouse is one of our favourite venues in the country to see a band. Sound and lighting are world class and to finally be connected to the CBD will be a great thing for live music in Sydney.”

Millencolin, King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard, Hockey Dad and Karnivool are among the acts to have played the venue recently, with upcoming shows in October from Northlane, Holy Holy and Lime Cordiale

Alongside its popularity on the live music scene, the Roundhouse has seen major interest from the conference and events industry. Its clients include THE ICONIC, the Australian Council for International Development (ACFID) and Green Building Council of Australia.

Robyn Johnson CEO of Meeting & Events Australia (MEA) added, β€œThe venue will be quick and easy to access and there will be a curiosity factor when it is opened to the public. MEA is looking forward to holding an event at the Roundhouse for the industry to sample the new renovated venue and the new mode of transport when the light rail opens in March 2020”.
