SRC - INDIGENOUS OFFICER ELECTION

Please note: the elected or appointed candidate is required to attend the SRC Induction on Thursday, 23 November 2017.
POSITION TO BE ELECTED
1 x Indigenous Officer (only current UNSW Indigenous students may stand and vote for this position).
TERM OF OFFICE
The Officer will hold office from 1st December 2017 until 30th November 2018.
The Indigenous Officer may only hold office for a maximum of 2 years.
Nomination forms are available to view here or may be collected at Nura Gili reception. Forms should not be submitted until nominations are open.
Only students who are members of Arc @ UNSW as at the close of nominations are eligible to stand as a candidate.
Nominations must be addressed to the Returning Officer and lodged via email to firstname.lastname@example.org prior to the deadline to be valid.
Candidates may provide with their nomination a recent photograph (JPEG format) and a statement of not more than 150 words containing information relating to the candidacy that he or she wishes to supply.
The Returning Officer may edit such statements if deemed necessary.
If there is more than one candidate for the available position, an election will be held with voting to occur during semester 2 of week 12.
Only UNSW students may campaign for the Indigenous Officer election. All campaign material must bear the name and student number of a candidate or contact person who is authorizing and taking responsibility of such material.
Candidates should ensure they understand the full campaigning rules, as breaches can lead to the disqualification of individuals. Further information can be found in the Arc @ UNSW Constitution and Regulations.
