The Venue
The Roundhouse has been a Sydney institution for 60 years and has just been given a huge facelift to bring its specs up to speed in every aspect. Capable of hosting a diverse and high volume of events from 2,200 capacity, The Roundhouse strives to maintain its place on campus as the ‘home of student life’.
Thirsty Burger, situated on the ground level of the Roundhouse, pumps out quality burgers and sides from Monday to Friday, alongside the Roundhouse bar.

The Role
We’re looking for someone who thrives in a busy kitchen.
The main duties of this position include;
Cooking consistently and enthusiastically to a set standard
Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
Participating in planning menus and developing recipes
Assisting in ordering and stock control.
Work will involve a mixture of food preparation, cooking and maintaining the kitchen in a clean and tidy state during and the end of your shift.
Who We Are Looking For
Most importantly, we're looking for someone who shares our values and culture, who brings passion and positivity, and will strive in the vibrant, social environment of the Roundhouse. We are also looking for some skills:
Strong “can-do” attitude, co-operative and strong work ethics.
Knowledge of WHS and Safe Food Handling practices, as well as a willingness to complete WHS training and other training as required.
Ability to follow direction and instruction accurately and efficiently and to work unsupervised.
Accountable and takes ownership.
Experience in a similar position with a high -volume pub or bistro.
Passion for food and exceeding customer expectations.
Ideally, we are looking for people with Monday to Friday availability who are able to work the occasional weekend shift.
