The Venue
Following extensive renovations, the Roundhouse returned to the Sydney venues landscape, operating with a full book of events. The venue has two bars, a beer garden, and is attached to a concert hall with 10 multi-purpose function rooms. The Roundhouse will be looking to continue as the H.Q. to student life at UNSW in 2022. The Roundhouse has been an Eastern Suburbs fixture since the early 60’s. Capable of hosting a diverse and high volume of events from 2,200 capacity gigs and student parties to cocktail functions, gala dinners, sporting events and everything in between, all whilst maintaining its place on campus as the ‘home of student life’.
The Role
This is a hands-on role and the Food and Beverage Casual must be willing to get their hands dirty figuratively and literally and be passionate about all things food and beverage. This role will be the face of The Roundhouse when guests arrive at the venue and the backbone of the Food and Beverage team. They will be fantastic at communicating to guests and be able to assist with the variety of tasks that the multi-purpose Roundhouse caters for.
The Role will be fast paced and requires flexible hours with evening shifts, weekend work and public holidays when required. The Roundhouse license hours are 11am-2am so some late nights will be required.
Who We Are Looking For
We are looking for multiple experienced and passionate Food and Beverage Attendants who can meet targets and drive outcomes for our students, customers and organisation. We want someone who can hit the ground running, think on their feet and deliver amazing outcomes. You will have excellent stakeholder and people skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively. Be able to think strategically, creatively and proactively in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience in a similar role is essential.
As importantly, we're looking for someone who shares our values and culture, who brings passion and positivity, and make sure their team embodies the same culture. Ideally, we are looking for people with Monday to Friday availability who are able to work the occasional weekend shift.
