Kudos Gallery Committee

The Kudos Gallery exhibition program is determined by a committee of Art & Design undergrad and postgrad student representatives from each school. 

The Kudos Committee have regular meetings, run special projects including the annual Kudos Award, attend openings and raise the profile of the gallery. Participation on the Kudos Committee is also acknowledged by UNSW on your 'Australian Higher Education Graduation Statement (AHEGS)' upon graduation.

Forth year Bachelor Fine Arts/ Arts

I am an emerging artist based in Sydney, currently completing a B Fine Arts/ B Arts (English) at UNSW AD. I currently work in the Arc office as the Artand Design Coordinator, and have been on the Arc Grants Committee. I have run art workshops with St. Francis of Assisi Primary, Nicholson St. PSand Aspire UNSW.  I have been an exhibition invigilator for Underbelly Arts Festival, International Symposium of Electronic Art, Electrofringe andSafARI. My art practice is multidisciplinary, operating predominantly within painting. I have exhibited at Kudos, AD Space, 107 Projects, Cell Block Theatre(NAS), Gaffa Gallery, Skyfire Studio, and was a finalist in the Yen Female Art Award and the Kudos Art and Design Award. I have also had my writing published in the Framework publication 'Future . Feminist . Ecology'.

Valerie Schlosberg

Second year Bachelor Art Theory

Valerie Schlosberg is a multidisciplinary artist and self-proclaimed theory geek, currently undertaking a Bachelor of Art Theory at UNSW Art & Design. She has exhibited in The Ladies Exhibition 02, and ThreadCount, and will be part of a forthcoming group exhibition at Gaffa Gallery later this year. Her work has also been featured in publications including Girltama and Gusher Magazine. Valerie’s primary interests surround queer theory and post- Internet art.

Jack Poppert

Third year Bachelor of Arts/Fine Arts

I study politics, philosophy, sculpture, installation and painting. My poetry was recently published in the Writers Edit anthology 'Kindling'. The written word is of great interest to me and crosses the boundary between my poetry and my art.Jaclyn Fenech

Jaclyn Fenech is an independent producer, curator and event planner that works between different international art agencies or consulting companies.With a particular speciality in festival environments, Jaclyn has worked for companies such as ArtsPeople, Performance Space, Art Fairs Australia andArt Pharmacy Consulting.

Loc Nguyen 

Third year Bachelor of Media Arts at UNSW Art and Design

His works involve video, image, sound, spatial practice, installation and interactive media. He explores ideas related to space and embodiment, and creates works which typically require the interaction and physical engagement of audience members. These works discussion ideas related to the body and technology. He has been part of Wayward Art Project, which was a partnership between UNSW Art & Design and Wayward Brewing, and has also exhibited at Electrofringe 2016. 

Kate Stodart

Bachelor Fine Arts (Honours)

Kate Stodart is an emerging artist based in Sydney whose recent installations, video works and performances center around the experience andnuances of anxiety. Kate has exhibited at Three Foot Square, AD Space and The Black Box through her BFA studies at UNSW Art & Design. Kate ispresident of the Art & Design Student Council, works at the Museum of Contemporary Art (Sydney) and has previously interned for Kudos Gallery.

Carla Jamieson

Third year Bachelor of Art Theory

Carla Jamieson is an emerging artist, curator and writer based in south Sydney, Australia. Currently completing her third year in a Bachelor of Art Theory at UNSW Art & Design, Carla also works at UNSW Galleries, in Visitor Services at Carriageworks, and is a youth Ambassador at Hazelhurst Regional Gallery & Arts Centre. Carla’s artistic practice engages mediums of drawing, painting and ceramics. Carla is passionate about creative practice and community engagement in art.

Hannah Jenkins

First-year Master of Curating and Cultural Leadership 

Hannah is a student with a passion for communication and engagement in the art-world. She has worked in advertising, editorial and strategic communication roles since graduating from UTS with a Bachelor of Communication and Bachelor of International Studies in 2013. She is particularly interested in emerging art in the space of virtual reality and immersive experiential works, and hopes that technological developments will make art more accessible to the wider community.

Isabella Cornell

Fourth (and final) year of a Bachelor of Art Theory/Bachelor of Arts. 

I have previously worked as a curatorial intern in the photography department at the Art Gallery of New South Wales. I am a regular arts writing contributor for various platforms including Framework, lipmag and Heaps Gay. During my semester studying abroad in Tokyo, I was the arts writer and editor of Mita magazine, and commissioned travel writer and photographer forWorld Nomads. Currently, I work and intern for Heaps Gay in content production and editing; events management, production and curatorial.


Chloé Hazelwood 

First-year Master of Curating and Cultural Leadership 

Chloé holds a Bachelor of Arts in Art History and Cultural Studies from the University of Sydney. In 2014, Chloé was selected for the Verge Gallery Mentored Exhibition Opportunity to curate her first show, “Feminist Ecologies” in October 2015. This exhibition ran during Verge Festival and featured two public programs: “Female Trailblazers: a social networking event” and “Feminist Fronts: art crit/panel discussion led by Aggregate”. In February 2017, Chloé co-curated “Corporeal: the presence and absence” with Helen Waller, the Verge Gallery assistant.
