ALWAYS ALMOST BUT NOT QUITE
Brenton Alexander Smith
This installation of video sculpture aims to elicit feelings of sympathy, perhaps entangled with revulsion, to the detritus of car wrecks. The show is centred around a series of video works made using the car-driving simulation game, BeamNG.drive.
Always Almost but Not Quite is powered by Lūpa a media player for art galleries. More information at lupaplayer.com
NOT FOR THE BRIEF
Elle Abignano, Maria Adriano, Silje Buxton Soldal, Monisha Chippada, Nikki Farmer, Leila Fri, Amy Ge, Andrina Manon, Estee Sarsfield
‘Not for the Brief’ is a group exhibition of nine designers and illustrators breaking from commercial restrictions and not adhering to a design brief. The curated collection responds to the box designers are pushed into, with restrictions, guidelines and rules that mould their work into something that is marketable and consumable.
