Kudos is delighted to announce our new temporary space at 121, 123, 125 and 178 ANZAC Parade, Kensington, on the land of the Bidjigal and Gadigal land. Kudos is delighted to run a dynamic exhibition and studio program across four dynamic spaces for the remainder of the year. Creating a bridge between students at UNSW Art & Design and the broader arts community, Kudos' new space will host a small number of studio residencies, exhibitions, and our beloved Kudos Awards. We're focusing on what we do best - providing a platform for emerging practitioners, to develop and exhibit their work.

What we're looking for

We are seeking proposals from individuals and groups and are open to students, alumni, and general public. We encourage submissions from any artist, designer, media artist, and/or curators who identify as having an emerging or experimental practice or just want to exhibit work!

We have vacancies across three different exhibition spaces for September or November. You can apply to exhibit in one space or apply for multiple spaces together to create a larger exhibition. Exhibitions run for the duration of the month, with an opening evening, and the potential to autonomously run public programs, performances, or workshops if of interest.

If successful, you will have to be present for install, de-install, and help to cover gallery minding shifts.

Kudos since 1998 has been host to some of Sydney's most innovative and dynamic artists, designers, curators and writers, creating a bridge between students at UNSW Art & Design and the broader arts community. From 2021 Kudos no longer occupies Saint Sophia Hall on Napier St but takes new shape as a satellite program. Kudos' satellite model means that Kudos is able to take a variety of forms; Offsite, Online, Exhibitions, Shop, Archive, Public Programs and Workshops.

The exhibition program is decided by the Kudos Committee. The committee is a small group of UNSW Arts, Design & Architecture undergraduate and postgraduate student representatives who have regular meetings, help run the Kudos yearly program, and act as an advisory board.
