LuoPads creates menstrual pads from recycled materials, providing dignified hygiene solutions for women and girls who lack access to period products.

Join Volunteers United and LuoPads for a hands-on sewing session where you'll create reusable sanitary pads from recycled materials. These pads will be packed into kits and distributed through overseas medical missions, providing sustainable menstrual hygiene solutions for women facing period poverty globally.


What you'll be doing:

  • Tracing and cutting patterns for reusable sanitary pads
  • Assembling and sewing pads from recycled materials
  • Packing completed LuoPads into kits for distribution
  • Learning about menstrual health equity and period poverty


Shift Details

Location: On-campus (room TBA) 

Date: Tuesday, 7th July 

Volunteer shift: 11:00 am–3:00 pm 

Volunteers needed: 30
