VU x O-Day Photo Crew Volunteer

Support O-Day by engaging with students, promoting upcoming campus events, and helping capture memorable moments throughout the day

Join Volunteers United and the Arc Team at Term 3 O-Day! O-Day is one of the biggest events of the year, welcoming thousands of students to campus and introducing them to everything UNSW has to offer. Volunteers United will be supporting a fun student activation by engaging with students, promoting upcoming campus events, and helping create memorable experiences throughout the day.


What you'll be doing:

  • Taking fun photos of and with students using an instant camera
  • Encouraging students to take their polaroid photo to the time capsule activation with Yellow Shirts 
  • Creating a welcoming, energetic and engaging atmosphere across campus
  • Handing out Discovery Fest flyers and encouraging students to attend the event
  • Supporting the Arc Team with general event promotion throughout the day

Shift Details

Location: Lower Main Walkway & Outside Red Centre

Dates and Shifts: 

  • Monday 7th of September : 11:00AM – 2:00PM and 2:00PM to 5:00PM (Photo Crew Volunteer)

Volunteers needed: 10 volunteers 


Volunteer Training 

To be eligible to volunteer, you must complete the mandatory Volunteers United Online Training Modules before your shift. After signing up, you'll receive a confirmation email with links to self-enrol in the training and join the Volunteers United WhatsApp Community, where you'll receive volunteer briefings and important updates.
