Chinese Hip Hop Icon Masiwei comes to UNSW Roundhouse

One of the biggest names to come out of the Chinese hip-hop scene will perform in Sydney 11 April! Masiwei emerged onto the global scene as a member of the popular boy-band Higher Brothers under the 88Rising banner. The group have been widely credited for being the catalyst of the fast-growing Chinese hip-hop genre.

Since pursuing a solo career, he’s gone from strength to strength becoming the first Chinese rapper to create a theme song for an American drama with a European and American rapper. In 2020, he released hit solo album “Prince Dark Horse” and won the best rap album at CMA2021. Albums “Dark Horse”, “Dark Horse Symphony Season” and “Humble Swag” quickly followed. Masiwei has taken the globe by storm, using his work to show the world the real made-in-China hip-hop music. Stay tuned for his latest ep release “Champion Love Songs” .
