Archery

Channel your inner Katniss Everdeen bow and arrow in hand, minus the fighting for your life.

Enjoy archery in a fun and casual environment or if you're up for the challenge, compete in local and state competitions.

Both UNSW students and the general public are welcome to become members.


What you can expect:

Shooting in an indoor format with targets at a distance of 18m. A beginners course is offered that runs over 3 weeks where a qualified coach will teach you the basics of shooting.


Competition

Compete in a few competitions a year either in official events or more friendly events with other unis.

Additional registration is necessary if you would like to participate.

 

Training times and locations:

Training on Saturdays from 5-8 pm in the Judo Room.

 

Costs:

We provide free bows and arrows to borrow. However, bowstrings will need to be purchased due to COVID-19 precautions (we can provide bowstrings to purchase at the club).

If you are not a regular archer and just want to pop by here and there, monthly session fees are $25 ($20 for UNSW Students, staff and Alumni).

Club membership costs $200 ($150 for UNSW Students, staff and Alumni) for the year which lasts till the last shooting session in December for that year. There is also an option for a half-year membership which costs $100 ($75 for UNSW Students, staff and Alumni)
