PGC Ambassador of the Month

Congratulations to Awni Etaywe on being awarded the PGC Ambassador of the Month for March! Read below for Awni's statement:

"Hi! This is Awni Etaywe, a PhD candidate of linguistics. Driven by my belief in both individual and collective responsibility for the improvement of our world, I dedicate some of my rewarding time to enhance UNSW students' experience in academia and social, health and wellbeing culture. This includes, but is not limited to, acting as a member of the FADA-dean's Shadow Board that generates solutions to challenges facing students, and enhances student-FADA communication. I have also been actively participating in a number of PGC-related events, including partaking in the virtual 'Roadmap to Your PhD Studies' series run by PGC. Besides, completing training in First Aid, Mental Health First Aid, work health and safety and more has better prepared me to render advice and support to community members when needed. Now I am preparing myself to volunteer-mentor international students in their personal language projects that aim to enhance students social and academic skills, as part of PELE course. All this comes as a payback to my treasured UNSW community."

Do you know an outstanding UNSW citizen?
Nominations for Ambassador of the Month for April are now open and will close April 16th 11:59pm. Apply here

Have questions as an international student?

PGC Councillor, Vintii Aggarwal has started a new initiative called "Hi Vintii" where she will answer all your questions based on her own learnings and experiences as an international student in Australia. Click here for more information.
