PGC Ambassador of the Month

Congratulations to Preetham Shivaraj on being awarded the PGC Ambassador of the Month for February! Read below for Preetham's statement:

"Good day UNSW, this is Preetham Shivaraj. I am pursuing my Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering. Realising the need for a society dedicated to the postgraduate students of the School of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering (MME), I co-founded Postgraduate Society for Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineers (PGSOMME). The sole purpose of this society is to cater to all the needs of postgraduates (onshore and offshore) of our faculty. I can proudly say that this is my way of giving back to the UNSW community. Throughout my journey so far at UNSW, PGC has played a huge role. Whether it is networking events or informative sessions (online and offline), I have met a lot of people coming from different backgrounds, different cultures and studying different courses. Even though most of my studies here at UNSW was online due to the pandemic, it has been quite a journey for me, one that I will cherish for years to come."
