Got some extra stationery lying around - or maybe a few other bits and pieces in great condition? Give it a second life and support fellow students by donating it to the Stationery Reuse Centre! We accept gently used and new items like pens, notebooks, folders, highlighters, as well as general items! Your donations help us keep the centre stocked and accessible for everyone.

What can I donate?

When considering whether extra stationery or items can be donate to the centre, our rule of thumb is if you'd feel good about giving it to a friend, then it's good to donate to us!

Popular stationery items include:

  • Papers and notebooks
  • Pens, pencils and highlighters
  • Staplers and tape
  • Sticky notes and rulers
  • Plastic sleeves, folder, file-holders
  • Clips, hole punches and other desk supplies

We are also starting to accept select general items (e.g. storage containers, homeware etc) - just let us know in the donation form first!

What can't I donate?

To keep the centre safe, manageable, and accessible, please avoid donating items that are damaged, overly used, or not in demand. Our space is limited, and unfortunately, disposing of unsuitable donations can cost us valuable volunteer time and resources.

We are unable to accept

  • Ring binders / lever arch folders (we're overstocked!)
  • Clothes (including children's clothes)
  • Children toys and items

Got these to donate? We recommend to try local op shops or listing it on Facebook Marketplace, Gumtree or eBay. For clothes you can donate them to the various SRC Clothing Donation Bins situated across campus (the closest one to the Arc Reception is right by the Clubs Office!)

What I want to donate isn't listed above!

If you have an item that isn't listed above or if you are still unsure if we can accept your donation, please contact us (stationeryreuse@arc.unsw.edu.au) or fill out the form and we will get back to you!

How do I donate to the Stationery Reuse Centre?

To help us manage space, stock, and volunteer capacity, all donations must be submitted via our form and include a photo. Once we’ve reviewed your submission, we’ll let you know if we’re able to accept your items and provide next steps.

Please do not bring donations directly to the Arc Reception or the centre without completing the form and receiving confirmation. Unapproved drop-offs may not be accepted, and we may not have space or staff available to process them safely.

This process helps us ensure we’re only accepting items we can responsibly use and redistribute. Thanks for your understanding and support!
