Poem: Absence

BY Sean Paul

And then there are moments

When the absence seems more present

Than the known;

Trees whose branches hold

The breeze unblown

Or cloud that cradle

The sun before setting.

Waves netting and releasing

Only more water,

While mountains stand only

As a boarder to more sky.

For my arms lie pressed by my side,

Content with memories of your body.
