Arc @ COFA is located on the UNSW campus in Paddington. Our office is open Mon to Fri 10am - 5pm and you can find us at the back of our new student lounge on the ground floor of D Block. We offer heaps of benefits and support especially tailored to COFA Faculty creative types including:

  • The Arc @ COFA student lounge is off the courtyard next to the Student Centre in D Block. This space features a student kitchen and lounge. It is open to everyone at COFA to make lunch, rest and play and will be stocked with free tea and coffee day and night, an urn, cold filtered water, a fridge, microwaves, and toaster.
  • Kudos Gallery - a COFA student run exhibition space - offers exhibition, employment, volunteering, education and social opportunities
  • Kudos Award - for emerging artists & designers
  • The Fish Bowl exhibition and project spaces
  • The Mural Project funding for a student or group of students to paint a mural in the courtyard each semester!
  • Three grant programs: Arts & Design Grant, GROUP WORK, and Quick Response
  • The Green House* - subsidised Student Residency Program at Fowlers Gap
  • BRIGHTSIDE - an artistic mentoring program that pairs up COFA and UNSW students with underprivileged Sydney high school students to inspire and assist them in developing their creative skills.

Aside from general on campus facilities, services, events and activities, Arc @ COFA supports arts and design students develop their creative practice and research in extracurricular projects each year through a number of grants, a residency program and an annual art award as above. In 2013 Arc @ COFA put $21,500 cash direct into the pockets and bank accounts of over 80 COFA student projects.
