What is Campus Compass?

Feeling lost with all the admin of starting university? Struggling to navigate Moodle or login to your student email? Want to know the best study spaces on Campus, or where to get the most delicious food?

Campus Compass is here to answer all of your burning questions! Come and see us at our stall during O-week or at the beginning of term to talk to students who have been there and done it all! Whether you're wondering about something specific or just want to chat, we'll help you get started and make the most out of the uni experience.

Look out for us at our stall or when we are roaming around campus with our bright yellow signs!!

Drop-In Sessions

Campus Compass will also be running drop-in sessions in term 1! Book a time a time slot and come by the stall to talk to one of our students, have all of your questions answered, and get the best tips and tricks about starting at uni!

When and where to find us during term 1 (Kensington Campus)

O-Week

Monday the 9th of February - Thursday the 12th of February (10 am - 4 pm)

Location:

Discovery Fest (Week 1)

Monday the 16th of February - Thursday the 19th of February (11 am - 4 pm)

Location: Lower Campus near Home Ground Cafe

Week 2

Monday the 23rd of February - Thursday the 26th of February (11 am - 4 pm)

Location: Quadrangle

Volunteers

As a volunteer, you will:

Work in a team to facilitate the Campus Compass stall during O-Week, Launch Week and Week 2.
Engage with students, answer their questions, and help out new people to UNSW.
Go through the student checklist with new students to ensure they are all set to start the term.

Whether it's advice on essential university processes or connecting you with UNSW support and development services, drop into The Nucleus: Student Hub on level 2 of the Library.

Emails

Access your student emails here.

A lot of important information is sent to your student email (not your personal) so set up inbox forwarding so all your emails go to a inbox that you actually check.

Remember, you must first enrol in your course and then you get access to your email.

You may also need to use Teams so access and download it here.

Class registration

If you haven't selected your classes yet, you can do so HERE.

This will confirm your enrolment and create your timetable.

You can change your courses and your class times online, up to the enrolment deadline for each term.

You must Class Register (choose your class times) for all of your courses - including any online courses - before the deadline each term, or your courses will be dropped.

The census date is the last day you can withdraw from a course without financial penalty. Find out the census date here.
