Bunkasai (Japanese Cultural Festival)

Bunkasai 2025 is NSA’s annual Japanese cultural festival, inspired by the school festivals (文化祭) held across Japan, where students come together to share creativity, culture, and community. This year, it’ll take place in Week 7 of Term 2, from 2-8pm at the UNSW Roundhouse.

We’re collaborating with six other student societies - ranging from cultural and career-focused groups to niche interest clubs - to create a vibrant, interactive space that celebrates the many sides of Japanese culture. Each society will run its own stall with unique activities, designed to reflect their connection to Japan in a fun and engaging way.
