Kudos presents de-erasure, Justin Cueno's solo exhibition exploring Filipino identity through self-portraiture and video installation. It examines diasporic disconnection—a vestige of colonial legacy—by reimagining the Filipino portrait as both boundary and archive. The layered performances in each work become tools to confront history and reclaim cultural memory.

Combining a six-channel video installation and A1 self-portraits the work navigates the blurred line between heritage and selfhood. Banana leaves—representing skin and colonial histories—feature prominently, both as material and metaphor, challenging viewers to reconsider the narratives imposed on migrant bodies.

de-erasure uses performance and repetition as acts of resistance and remembrance. The exhibition transforms personal memory into a collective dialogue about loss, reclamation, and the ongoing impacts of colonialism. Through layered visuals and performance, de-erasure invites audiences to reflect on what it means to feel distant from home, and how the body becomes a site of both decolonisation and revival.
