Mosaic Fusion Forums

Step Up . Mentor A Group of Highschool Students . Get Talking About Multiculturalism and Cultural Understanding.

Mosaic Fusion Forums offers both UNSW volunteers and local Sydney high school students a unique opportunity to come together and get talking about the social and cultural issues that shape and define them.

UNSW volunteers take part in a one-day cultural training session in Semester 2, in preparation for the Mosaic Fusion Forum Day in August. On this day, volunteers act as mentors to groups of visiting high school students, running group workshop activities and delivering learning modules designed by the 2012 Mosaic team!

Later, the tables are turned - it's back to school! Volunteers embark on day visits to their high school students' schools where they get down to work in helping to create a range of cultural expression projects.

Sound like fun? It is!

The program culminates in an Expo night celebrating the works created by high-school students and inspired by their participation in Mosaic. These works are published on the Sydney Region Equity Department of Education Website.
