Our commitment to the Indigenous Strategy extends beyond policy and into practice. Through initiatives such as NAIDOC Week celebrations, Indigenous Nationals, cultural engagement opportunities and ongoing community partnerships, Arc is working to create a more inclusive, connected and culturally safe experience for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students.

INDIGENOUS NATIONALS

Arc @ UNSW proudly supported 14 students to represent UNSW at the 2026 Indigenous Nationals in Newcastle. Celebrating its 30th anniversary, the event brought together more than 500 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students from universities across Australia to compete in basketball, netball, touch football and volleyball. Indigenous Nationals provides an opportunity to celebrate culture, build connections, develop leadership skills and promote wellbeing through sport and community.
