The Arc Board of Directors is pleased to announce that Alice Williams was elected as the Chair of the Board on 25 June 2026.
Originally from Wollongong, Alice moved to Sydney to begin her studies at UNSW. As a 4th year Law/Criminology student, has since built a strong record of involvement across the university community. Alongside her studies, she enjoys baking, going to the beach, and hanging out with her dog, Reggie.
Alice said of her appointment,
I am SO excited to play a role in benefitting student life at UNSW! I have such a profound respect and admiration for everything that Arc does for students, and I want to continue the wonderful things that Arc does, in close connection with our strategic plan.
Alice brings extensive student leadership experience to the role. Her involvement at UNSW includes serving as Beginners Mooting Director and Intervarsity Mooting Director for the UNSW Law Society, multiple positions at Philip Baxter College, coaching, mentoring and judging younger law students in Mooting, and volunteering as a Netball Umpire.
As Chair, Alice sees the Arc Board’s priorities over the next 12 months focused on practical support and community-building. These priorities include continuing to deliver cost-of-living initiatives in a wide variety of ways, supporting UNSW’s vibrant club system, and helping make the university a place where every student feels like they belong.
Reflecting on Arc’s role in student life and her position as Chair, Alice shared her message for UNSW students.
I want students to know that Arc genuinely has something for everyone! Whether through an existing club, creating your own club, volunteering, sport, free food, or even attending our (totally awesome) parties, Arc has the ability to make a positive impact on every student's life in ways you probably don't even realise. My message, therefore, would be to be open to new experiences, because you never know what opportunities could be just around the corner!
