HobbyCon is UNSW’s creative, gaming and hobby expo. It brings together Arc Clubs, student artists, local creators, performances, activities and fandom communities for one big day at the Roundhouse.
HobbyCon is on Wednesday 15 July 2026, from 12pm - 7pm.
HobbyCon is at the UNSW Roundhouse, Building E6, International Road, Kensington NSW 2052.
Yes! Entry is free for ALL attendees. UNSW Students and non-student community members welcome!
Everyone is welcome, including UNSW students, staff and the general public.
You don’t have to, but we recommend it.
Pre-registering helps us plan for the day, and UNSW students who pre-register can earn 10 HobbyCon XP.
HobbyCon XP is a points system for UNSW students attending HobbyCon.
You can earn XP by:
Pre-registering
Signing in when you arrive
Visiting Club stalls
Exploring upstairs and downstairs spaces
You can use XP to claim food items and enter the student raffle.
HobbyCon XP is only available to UNSW students.
Visit participating Club stalls and tap your phone on their HobbyCon XP card. You’ll be taken to a quick form to submit your details and collect your XP.
Try holding your phone on the card for a few seconds, then slowly move it around the back of your phone until it connects.
If you’re using Android, check that NFC is turned on in your settings or control centre.
UNSW students can use HobbyCon XP to claim food items. Students collecting XP will also be entered into a raffle drawn at 6pm.
Raffle Prizes To Be Confirmed
Artist Alley will feature original artwork, prints, handmade crafts, jewellery, fanart, zines, comics, stickers, badges, apparel, tote bags and other creative works.
Yes. Many Artist Alley stalls may be selling items. Stallholders may accept card, QR code payments, PayID, Beem It or cash, depending on the artist.
Yes, food will be available at HobbyCon. UNSW students can also use HobbyCon XP to claim snacks!.
Yes! Head to the HobbyCon map page to find Club stalls, Artist Alley, stage areas and activity spaces.
HobbyCon includes Clubs across gaming, anime, books, crafts, collecting, puzzles, tech, history, astronomy, music, performance and more.
