After eight intense weeks of workshops, build sessions, and testing, teams are ready to bring their custom-built semi-autonomous robots to the ring for the most anticipated night of the year: Sumobots 2025 Finals Night. Designed, constructed, and perfected by students across disciplines, each robot is built with one goal - to push its opponent out of the ring and claim victory, sumo-style.

With roaring crowds, high-stakes battles, and live commentary from our very own “professional” commentators, the atmosphere will be electric. Expect to see top-tier competition from both the Standard Stream and the all-new Opens Stream, which has welcomed friendly inter-university rivalries for the first time ever.

This year’s Finals Night marks a record-breaking increase in participation and community engagement, drawing in:

• Over 300 students from across NSW

• High school teams excited by the future of STEM

• University lecturers and researchers

• Industry professionals scouting the next generation of engineers and innovators

Top teams from the knockout rounds will battle it out for the Sumobots 2025 Championship Title, with an added twist - a boss battle against RAMSoc’s own unbeatable bots. Can your robot take them down?
