WIRES is Australia's largest wildlife rescue organisation, caring for sick, injured, and orphaned native animals across NSW.

Location: On-campus (room details TBA) 

Date: Week 6 - Tuesday, 24th March

Join Volunteers United and WIRES for a hands-on workshop where you'll build dreys (nesting boxes) for native wildlife, providing safe shelter for animals in rehabilitation and those returning to the wild.


What you'll be doing:

  • Constructing dreys using materials sourced from Bunnings
  • Adding lining and waterproofing with paperbark
  • Creating essential weekly housing for wildlife in WIRES' care
  • Learning about native animal rescue and rehabilitation


All materials provided by WIRES. No experience necessary - just bring your enthusiasm for helping Australian wildlife!
