Cooking Care into Every Dish with One Meal || Volunteers will work together to cook and pack spaghetti bolognese meals, providing families with a warm, nourishing meal made with care.

One Meal helps to feed, clothe, and support the homeless, disenfranchised, vulnerable, and at-risk members of our local communities.

Join Volunteers United and One Meal for a hands-on bulk cooking session where you'll prepare and package hearty spaghetti bolognese meals that will be delivered directly to people in need across our community. This is a direct-impact volunteering opportunity where you'll see exactly how your efforts translate into warm, nourishing meals for families facing hardship.


What you'll be doing:

  • Preparing meals such as spaghetti bolognese in a bulk cooking session
  • Packaging meals with labels for distribution
  • Supporting the delivery of meals to One Meal's warehouse
  • Learning about food insecurity and community meal programs


Shift Details

Location: On-campus, Old Tote Kitchen (map

Date: Tuesday, 7th July 

Volunteer shift: 11:00 am–3:00 pm 

Volunteers needed: 15
