Good Deed Days - VU x The Shepherd Centre

The Shepherd Centre helps deaf and hearing-impaired children learn to listen and speak, giving them the best possible start in life.

Join Volunteers United and The Shepherd Centre for a relaxed, creative session writing donor cards. You'll craft heartfelt, handwritten messages thanking the generous donors who make it possible for deaf and hearing-impaired children to learn spoken language - a simple but meaningful way to show gratitude to the people behind the Centre's life-changing work.

What you'll be doing:

• Writing and decorating personal thank-you cards for donors
• Crafting heartfelt messages of gratitude and appreciation for supporters
• Writing Birthday and Christmas cards for The Shepherd Centre's Fundraising Team
• Learning about The Shepherd Centre's work supporting deaf and hearing-impaired children

Session breakdown:

• Introduction to The Shepherd Centre and a safety briefing
• A presentation on early intervention, hearing loss, and The Shepherd Centre's work
• Learning about the impact and outcomes achieved for children and families
• Donor care: writing Birthday and Christmas cards for supporters and donors

Volunteer shift: 1:00 pm–3:00 pm
