RegisterWant to learn how to use a sewing machine and make something you can actually use? 🧵✨ Join us for a fun, relaxed and beginner-friendly sewing workshop where you’ll learn the basics of sewing while creating your own simple drawstring bag.
No sewing experience is needed. You’ll be guided through the process step-by-step, from learning how to safely use a sewing machine to putting your new skills into practice and creating your own finished project.
You’ll learn:
🧵 Sewing Machine Basics: How to safely set up, use and control a sewing machine
📏 Sewing Fundamentals: Simple sewing terminology, straight stitching, backstitching, seams and hems
🪡 Hands-on Practice: Build confidence using a sewing machine with guidance throughout the session
✂️ Following a Pattern: Learn how to work with a simple pattern and follow basic sewing instructions
👜 Take-home Project: Begin the creation your own simple drawstring bag to take home
⏰ Time: Wednesday, 07 October, 2:45pm-4:15pm

What to bring? Nothing required, all materials and equipment will be provided.
What to expect? A relaxed, supportive and beginner-friendly environment focused on learning by doing. No previous sewing experience is required, and you’ll be guided through each step of making your drawstring bag plus light refreshments will be provided during the workshop. 🍪🥤
