Tour de Cure | Step Out for Cancer Event Volunteer

Step Out for Cancer is taking place on Sunday 11 October across Allianz Stadium, the SCG, and Royal Randwick Racecourse, culminating in a festival-style finish. The event raises vital funds for the Minderoo Children's Comprehensive Cancer Centre, supporting life-changing research and care for children affected by cancer. 

Join the Tour de Cure team at Allianz Stadium or Randwick Racecourse, supporting and cheering on walkers and runners along the event course.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Guide walkers and runners along the event route.

• Direct participants and help with crowd flow.

• Answer questions and provide basic event information.

• Cheer on participants and keep the energy positive.

• Support the event team with general event operations.

• Help create a safe, welcoming and enjoyable experience.

Shift Details

Location: Allianz Stadium, 40/44 Driver Avenue, Gate 5, Moore Park OR Randwick Racecourse, Alison Road, Randwick

Dates and Shifts: 

• Sunday 11th of October - 7AM to 3PM (Walk Marshal at Allianz Stadium)
• Sunday 11th of October - 7AM to 3PM (Run Marshal at Randwick Racecourse)

Volunteers needed: 100 volunteers needed across the whole day!

What to Bring

• Wear comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing suitable for being outdoors.
• Enclosed, comfortable shoes are required.
• Bring a water bottle and any personal items you may need during your shift.
• Your Step Out for Cancer volunteer t-shirt will be provided for you to wear on the day.

• Volunteers will primarily receive updates via email, including shift details, training opportunities, event updates and volunteer resources.
• Volunteers will also be invited to join a dedicated WhatsApp group for Step Out for Cancer 2026.
• The WhatsApp group will be used for reminders, announcements, logistical information and important updates before and on the event day.
• The WhatsApp link and joining instructions will be provided via email after registration.
