Sorting Sustainability with Banish Recycling Join a hands-on lid sorting activation on campus where you'll learn about different plastic types and help divert hard-to-recycle materials from landfills.

Banish Recycling runs the BRAD (Banish Recycling and Disposal) program, which prevents hard-to-recycle materials like plastic bottle top lids from reaching landfills by sorting them by resin type and colour for proper recycling.
Join Volunteers United and Banish Recycling for an interactive on-campus session that brings this process directly to you, giving you the chance to learn about different plastic types, understand the recycling system, and make a tangible environmental impact in just a few hours.
What you'll be doing:
- Sorting plastic bottle top lids by resin type and colour
- Learning about different plastic types and recycling processes
- Managing and organising incoming materials for proper disposal
- Supporting the setup and pack down of the activation space

Location: On-campus (room TBA)
