Reverse Garbage runs sustainable programs using materials prevented from going to landfill, transforming waste into creative possibilities for workshops.

Join Volunteers United and Reverse Garbage for a hands-on session where you'll help prepare recycled materials for upcoming workshops while getting a behind-the-scenes look at how creative reuse works. You'll cut materials to manageable sizes, sort by workshop type, and organise the warehouse - then create your own artwork using the same materials to see the creative potential firsthand.

What you'll be doing:

  • Cutting recycled materials to manageable sizes
  • Sorting materials by workshop type
  • Returning unnecessary materials to the warehouse storage
  • Creating your own upcycled artwork
