VU x Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC)

Ronald McDonald House Charities Sydney provides a home away from home for families with seriously ill or injured children receiving treatment far from home.

Location: Rosebay to Randwick 

Date: Week 7, Sunday, 29th March

Time: Multiple shifts available 

Volunteers needed: 60 students (approximately 15 course marshals per session)

Join Volunteers United and RMHC Sydney for the Walk Me Home event, where you'll support families staying at Ronald McDonald House by helping coordinate a community fundraising walk.

What you'll be doing:

• Serving as course marshals (groups of 2–3 per site) or finish line support
• Guiding participants safely through the walk route
• Creating a welcoming, supportive atmosphere for families and community members
• Receiving virtual briefing and manual in the week leading up to the event

How to register:

• Students can register together and select the same role/shift where possible here: 2026 Walk Me Home - Volunteer Registration Form 
• Note "Arc UNSW" in the organisation field when registering individually
• Finish line roles confirmed two weeks prior; course marshal confirmations may take longer
