Share the Dignity works to ensure access to basic hygiene essentials and period products for vulnerable girls, women, and people who menstruate facing income poverty, homelessness, and adversity across Australia.

Join Volunteers United and Share the Dignity for a hands-on bag packing session where you'll assemble hygiene care packages filled with essential items like toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap, shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, and period products. Each bag also includes a handwritten message of support, ensuring that every person receiving a bag knows someone cares. This is a direct-impact volunteering opportunity that addresses period poverty and hygiene insecurity in our community.

What you'll be doing:

  • Packing bags with essential hygiene items, including toiletries and period products
  • Writing messages of support to include in each bag
  • Learning about period poverty and hygiene insecurity in Australia
  • Creating care packages that will be distributed to vulnerable people in our community
