Want to learn how to sew, fix, and create your own pieces while building a practical life skill? 🧵✨ Join us for a hands-on, beginner-friendly sewing workshop designed to help students feel confident using a sewing machine and understanding the basics of sewing.
This relaxed session is perfect for complete beginners, no experience needed. You’ll learn step-by-step skills and get the chance to practice as you go, with guidance throughout the workshop.
You’ll learn:
🧵 Sewing Machine Basics: How to safely use and control a sewing machine
📏 Sewing Fundamentals: Simple terminology, stitching techniques, hems, and seams
🪡 Hands-on Practice: Taking turns using machines to build confidence
🎨 Creative Skills: Encouraging creativity through practical making
👜 Take-home Project: Start (or complete) a simple tote bag using a provided pattern
⏰ Time: Wednesday 17 June, 12:45pm-2:15pm (arrive 5 min early!)
