VU x Discovery Fest - Event Volunteer

Join Volunteers United and the Arc Team at Discovery Fest! Following ODay, Discovery Fest is your chance to help students discover everything UNSW has to offer. Over three exciting days, clubs, sports teams and volunteering programs will transform campus with interactive activities, games, challenges, free food and plenty of opportunities for students to get involved.

Volunteers United will be supporting the event by creating a fun and welcoming atmosphere, engaging with students, and encouraging them to explore everything Discovery Fest has to offer.

What you'll be doing:

• Welcoming and engaging with students around campus
• Promoting Discovery Fest and encouraging students to visit the event
• Directing students to activities, clubs, sports and volunteering stalls
• Helping create a fun, energetic and inclusive atmosphere
• Teaming up with the Arc Insiders volunteers to bring the vibes and get students knowing about Arc and the event

Shift Details

Location: Lower Main Walkway & Outside Red Centre

Dates and Shifts: 

• Wednesday 16th September: 11:00AM to 2:00PM and 2:00PM to 5:00PM (Event Volunteer)

Volunteers needed: 20 volunteers per shift

Volunteer Training 

To be eligible to volunteer, you must complete the mandatory Volunteers United Online Training Modules before your shift. After signing up, you'll receive a confirmation email with links to self-enrol in the training and join the Volunteers United WhatsApp Community, where you'll receive volunteer briefings and important updates.
