Q: When do nominations open and how do I nominate? [NOMINATIONS ARE NOW CLOSED]
Nominations open at 9am on Monday, 2nd March 2026 and close at 4:00pm (paper submissions) and 11:59pm (electronic submissions) on Monday, 16th March 2026.
Nomination forms can be found (digitally) here . If a paper submission is required, please contact the Returning Officer via ceo.admin@arc.unsw.edu.au
Q: Am I eligible to nominate?
All current UNSW College Students and Alumni Students are eligible to nominate for the College Board Elections as per Arc College Regulations 4.7 (a).
Where per the Arc College Constitution
- 'Student' is defined as 'a person who is enrolled for the award of a degree, diploma or certificate at UNSW College'
- 'Alumni Student' is defined as a graduate of UNSW College who was enrolled in a course of study with the institution during any of the three (3) calendar years immediately preceding their graduation.'
By nominating, you are consenting to have your eligibility checked against any other criteria to stand in elections as per Arc College Regulations 4.9 (i).
Q: Where can I sign up to be an Arc Member?
You can sign up to be an Arc member here! It's completely free!
Please note that to be eligible to vote in these elections, you must be an Arc member by Monday, 16th March 2026.
Q: Who is eligible to vote? How do I vote?
As per the Arc College Constitution, clause 6.2. (b) and clause 4.7. (b) of the Arc College Regulations, all current UNSW College students who have signed up for Arc membership by Monday, 16th March 2026 are eligible to vote in the College Board elections.
This means that:
- that you must have activated or renewed your Arc membership on or before 16th March 2026
- that you are a current UNSW College student.
Please note that alumni students of UNSW College are unable to vote in these elections.
Q: How are the terms of office determined?
Of the 4 elected Student Directors, two (2) directors will serve a 2-year term and two (2) will serve a 1-year term. This will be determined by the result of the ballot and confirmed by the RO.
