Arc's Phil' is Australia's largest student-led philanthropy initiative. Our mission is to unite all UNSW students, staff, alumni and the local community to do good and Phil' good.
In the inaugural year (2016) Phil' raised $34,833, last year we raised $76,403.43 that's $111,236.43 going directly to help sick kids.
This year our aim is to a further raise $85,000+ for Child Life and Music Therapy at Sydney Children's Hospital, Randwick. The therapists use play and music to help hospitalised babies, kids and teens manage pain, understand medical procedures and make sure they don’t miss out on having a fun childhood! They empower sick children by;
- Normalising the hospital environment
- Reducing anxiety and promoting self-esteem
- Providing education and support to children, and their families
Our mission is to put the FUN in fundraising. Our wonderphil' student volunteers organise large-scale events on campus like our Phil’ Charity Concert and the 24 hr Fun-a-Thon; they will be at Bunnings on the weekends doing barbecues and bake sales; and they’ll participate in larger community events like Pedal4Kids and City2Surf.
So far in 2018 we have raised: $2,828.16
We are getting closer to our target with: $82,173.84 to go
