'You can never get a cup of tea large enough or a book long enough to suit me.' Said my best friend, C. S Lewis’ as we sat in the wardrobe.

Since 1998 the UNSWeetened Literary Journal has showcased UNSW’s creative writing talents.

Published annually since way back in 1998, the Journal features both poetry and prose from  students from a diverse and eclectic mix of degrees and writing styles. Not only is it a great way to get published but it is judged by the biggest writers in the Sydney writing scene and has firmly established itself as one of the best student literary prizes and publications in Sydney.

Meet Your 2017 Unsweetened Literary Journal Coordinator

I am Hayoosh and I have the pleasure to be this year’s Coordinator; currently I am enrolled in the Master of Development Studies program with special reference to Refugees and Forced Migrations.

I grew up down the rabbit hole with Alice, fought alongside Harry against Voldemort, had my first love with Mr. Darcy, cried my heart out during the long times of War and Peace and became a writer with Bilbo Baggins on his grand adventures.

UNSWeetened has the unique space and opportunity for new writers who may be shy of their masterpieces; it is a platform to connect and grow as future J.K. Rowlings. It also provides editing, creative writing, documenting trainings for anyone & everyone.

Coffee. Write. Repeat.
