Give Professional Clothing a Second Life

Career Closet is powered by community generosity.

As a primarily donation-based initiative, we rely on contributions from staff, students, alumni, and supporters to help UNSW students access professional clothing when they need it most. A donated blazer, shirt, or pair of dress shoes could help someone feel confident at their next interview, networking event, internship, or first day on the job.

If you have professional clothing that's no longer serving you, consider giving it a second life through Career Closet.

What Can I Donate?

We're looking for clean, professional, and workplace-appropriate clothing and accessories, including:

👔 Blazers & Suit Jackets 👕 Shirts & Blouses 👗 Professional Dresses & Skirts 👖 Dress Pants & Trousers 👞 Professional Shoes 🎀 Accessories such as belts, ties, and scarves

Subtle patterns and colours are welcome, provided they're suitable for a professional workplace setting.

What We Can't Accept

To keep our collection focused on career-ready attire, we aren't able to accept:

• Jeans
• Khakis
• Jewellery
• Bags
• Graphic clothing
• Clothing with slogans or large logos
• Other casual or informal wear

These items can be donated to the SRC Clothing Hub instead.

Donation Guidelines

Before donating, please ensure items are:

✅ Clean and freshly laundered 

✅ In good, wearable condition 

✅ Free from significant stains, tears, holes, or damage 

✅ Something you'd feel comfortable wearing to a professional event yourself
