Good Deed Days

Good Deed Days is a chance for you get a taste of volunteering through exciting on-campus and off-campus events with different not-for-profits every day of the week!

Join us on Tuesday, 24th March till Thursday, 26th March, 2026!

Have you always wanted to volunteer but were unsure where to start? Whether you are looking to volunteer with a group of friends or you are keen to meet someone new, join us for Good Deed Days!

UNSW students will be getting hands-on across a range of meaningful volunteering activities - and you’re invited to see the impact in action!

Tuesday, 24 March

Relove Warehouse – 8:30 am to 12:00 pm
Anglicare – 9:00 am to 3:30 pm

Wednesday, 25 March

Reverse Garbage – 11:00 am to 2:30 pm
Kids With Cancer Foundation – 11:00 am to 2:30 pm
One Meal – 11:00 am to 3:00 pm
LuoPads Project – 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm

Thursday, 26 March

Twilight Aged Care – 10:00 am to 12:00 pm
Days for Girls – 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm
Clean Up Australia – 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Congwong Beach

Each event is a hands-on opportunity to make a real difference in the community - from creating comfort items, sorting recycled materials, to helping care for children, seniors, and the environment.

Helping Set Up Homes with ReLove

24th March at 8:30 AM - Volunteers will work hands-on with ReLove staff to organise, assemble, pack, and deliver essential household items, helping create safe and welcoming homes for clients.

Packing Hope, Delivering Care with Anglicare

24th March at 9:00 AM - Volunteers will support Anglicare by sorting donated goods, preparing hygiene packs, and stocking mobile community pantries for people experiencing financial stress and homelessness.

Building Possum Dreys for WIRES

24th March at 11:00 AM - Volunteers will make possum dreys with WIRES, helping provide secure homes for rescued and displaced wildlife.

Sensory Cubes with Reverse Garbage

25th March at 11:00 AM - Volunteers will create sensory products through sewing, turning waste into useful items and keeping materials out of landfill.

Cranes of Hope with Kids with Cancer Foundation

25th March at 11:00 AM - Volunteers will make paper Cranes of Hope to include in Care Packs, giving each child a simple symbol of hope and care.

Cooking Care into Every Dish with One Meal

25th March at 11:00 AM – Volunteers will work together to cook and pack spaghetti bolognese meals, providing families with a warm, nourishing meal made with care.

Sewing Solutions for Women's Health with LuoPads Project

25th March at 1:00 PM – Volunteers will take part in a LuoPads sewing session, helping create sanitary pads that provide essential menstrual health support for women in overseas communities.

Morning Tea & Activities at Twilight Aged Care

26th March at 9:50 AM - Volunteers get to enjoy some morning tea and focus on bringing joy and companionship to their day

Protecting Congwong Beach with Clean Up Australia

26th March at 11 AM - Volunteers will help pick up trash from CongWong Beach Trail, supported by Clean Up Australia

Packing Hygiene Kits for Days for Girls

26th March at 12:00 PM - Volunteers help create care-packed hygiene kits, thoughtfully assembling satchels with underwear, reusable pads, face cloths, and women’s health resources to support and empower them.

March 26th at 10:00AM - Participate in gardening activities and contribute to regenerate our climate

Pack and Help with Days for Girls

March 26th at 12:00PM - Pack up kits together in their warehouse

Sandwich-making Session with Eat Up

March 26th at 2:30PM - Making sandwich on-campus to be distributed to schools across Sydney

Clean Our Environment with Randwick City Council Bushcare

March 27th at 09:00AM and 1:00PM - Clean the Dunningham Reserve Bushcare and Alison Road Parkcare

Helping Hands for The Rev. Bill Crews Foundation

March 27th at 10:30AM - Lunch preparation in their kitchen and hamper packing in their warehouse

Community Cooking with One Meal

March 27th at 11:00AM - Cooking on-campus to help One Meal expand their impact

Crafting Smiles for Kids with Cancer Foundation

March 27th at 12:00PM - Create bookmarks and make cards to support Kids with Cancer
